The department is committed to provide quality education in Basic Science, Biology, Chemistry in such a manner that leads to the development of the students academically, spiritually and socially.

The Department of Science has always been actively involved in engaging young minds in discovering the intricacies of the universe. It has been the endeavor of the department to involve students in as much discovery learning as possible.

The Department has been privy to many changes this year. Mrs Rekha Kumar, the former Head of Department, has been appointed the acting Assistant Principal. In her stance, Ms Rajneeta Devi was appointed the acting Head of Department.

The Department also farewelled Mrs Toreka Kumar and Mrs Deborah Hephzibah and welcomed Mrs Pratishma Ray, Miss Parmila Goundar and Mr Ronald Prasad. At this juncture, the Department wishes to extend its heartiest congratulations to Mrs Senimili Reddy on her new bundle of joy!

Students were encouraged to participate in the CSSP Chem Quiz Competition; Michel Chan received the prize in attaining the highest mark in the Western Division.


As the Department in-charge for Family Life Education, we were also involved in the IDADAIT Week Celebrations in Week 7. Poster Competitions, Ribbon Trees and Banners were prepapred by the students to mark the different themes given to the levels.

Apart from this, our two guest speakers, Police Officer (ASP) Mr. Singh and Mr. Shalvin Chand, from Empower Pacific spoke at length on Illicit Trafficking and Drug Abuse during the school assembly.

A guest speaker, Dr. Kapil Dave from Fiji National University, addressed the students on the importance of Yoga and also conducted some basic stretches with students.

As the academic year comes to a close, the department wishes to extend to all their students the very best in their academic journey.
